Terms of Service
By booking our caricature services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided
The entertainment to be provided by the Performer is generally described as event caricatures or fashion sketches. Both are quick sketches of guests meant to amuse and entertain. The Performance is to be used as both entertainment and party favors at the Purchaser's event.
2. Drawing Rates
-
Standard Caricatures generally take 2 to 6 minutes per person and average about 20 people per hour, but may vary between 15 and 25 people per hour.
-
Pet Caricatures generally take 3 to 8 minutes per pet and average 15 pets per hour, but may vary between 10 and 20 pets per hour.
-
Quick Caricatures generally take 1 to 2 minutes per face and average 50 people per hour, but may vary between 40 and 60 people per hour.
-
Digital caricatures generally take 6 to 10 minutes per face and average 8 people per hour, but may vary between 6 and 10 people per hour.
These times may vary depending on a number of factors from multiple accessories or costumes to movement of guests, and may also vary from artist to artist. Our listed rates on our website are based on a verified count and averaging of Marietta's speed across multiple busy events.
2. Booking & Payment
-
A signed contract and a 50% deposit are required to secure your event date. The deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to a future date depending on artist availability.
-
Your final balance is due seven days prior to your event. The final balance becomes non-refundable 24 hours prior to your event but can be transferred to a future date depending on artist availability.

3. Performance Conditions
-
Most services require 2 moveable chairs, a small table, and a 9x9 foot space.
-
Services with digital components require an additional chair, a 6' table in replace of the small table, electricity, and close proximity to an outlet.
-
If the event is outdoors, protection from sun and rain is required. Trees do not provide sufficient shade, meaning a canopy or awning is required. Services with additional components cannot be outside.
-
Clients are responsible for marketing, promoting, and ensuring the proper placement and announcement of the artist's services. It is the client's duty to ensure guests can easily locate the artist and are aware that the artist’s services are available
4. Service Structure
We require guests to wait in line where they will receive their hand-darn art for free for our most optimal performance.
-
No Waiting Lists – Guests must remain present in line; sign-up sheets or lists are not permitted. If you have VIP guests who require drawings, we suggest they be drawn within the first hour. Guests of Honor, such as the wedding couple or birthday celebrant, should be drawn within the first hour of service to ensure completion.
-
No Direct Guest Payments – Clients may not charge guests individually for caricatures. Exception: School carnivals using a ticket system for multiple activities, in which we require an attendant to assist in the collection of said tickets.
-
No Suggested Donation Amounts – Donation jars are allowed but must not specify a recommended amount.
-
Cost Recovery Options: Clients may include caricature costs in admission, use a general donation jar clearly marked to their organization without a suggested fee, or secure a sponsor to cover fees.
Artists begin drawing at the beginning of your timeframe and complete drawing at the end of your timeframe. Because artists face forward throughout the performance, artists cannot be responsible for managing the order of guests in line. If someone chooses to leave a line, they must return to the back of the line. Artists will manage their own line closure unless otherwise discussed and will close their line 30 minutes prior to the end of your timeframe by counting their line and closing it to the last person they will be able to draw. This may mean that an artist will need to turn away guests. Artists may need a few additional minutes to complete their line depending on guest movement and details. Artists will require 15 minutes after the completion of their final drawing to clear their area.
